Early Career and Work with Industry Visionaries
Katy began her career in advertising and public affairs, managing campaigns and complex stakeholder engagement at a young age. Early clients included the San Francisco 49ers, where she played a key role in public affairs and crisis communications around the team’s stadium initiatives and ownership. She went on to advise tech visionaries and C-suite leaders at companies including Apple and Microsoft, and collaborated directly on strategic projects for Steve Jobs and Paul Allen including the world’s first music downloads and internet radio.
Founder of Harmonica and Growth Architect
She later founded Harmonica, a boutique firm focused on high-performance PR + Digital and values-based brand growth. Through Harmonica and her current consulting as part of Clearlight, Katy has helped launch and scale CPG brands such as Jamba Juice, Caulipower, Manduka, and Kevita — along with strategic problem solving in Higher Education & government – and a dozen other AdTech, AgTech and B2B companies driving market leadership, visibility, innovation and investor readiness. Her work has positioned clients for successful fundraising, acquisition, and global expansion.
